Synthetic River Flow Videos for Evaluating Image‐Based Velocimetry Methods

چکیده

Various image-based velocimetry methods have been developed and increasingly used for surface velocity discharge measurements in rivers. Their evaluation is challenging as situ comparisons are limited affected by uncertainties, synthetic flow images to test laboratory not representative of outdoor applications. A novel method proposed generate river videos with known velocities. The based on open-source computer graphics tools: Blender Mantaflow. represent realistic situations where the scene configuration, example, riverbed riparian areas, water aspect, camera location orientation or lighting can be easily modified. Two cases studies emphasize strengths limitations method. datasets generated will allow improvement different methods, notably through collaborative evaluations intercomparisons.
